David Prutchi has been involved with ReDy since its foundation in 2012, and has held executive positions in a number of companies in the Hobart Group since 1997. He has over 25 years’ experience in biomedical R&D and medical electronic instrumentation design and management. He is the lead author of Design and Development of Medical Electronic Instrumentation – A Practical Perspective of the Design, Construction and Test of Medical Devices (2005), and co-author of Exploring Quantum Physics Through Hands-On Projects (2012).
Dr. Prutchi joined Impulse Dynamics in 1997, where he currently serves as Executive VP of Product Development. He previously worked at Sulzer-Intermedics Inc., where he was responsible for Bradycardia Advanced Technology Development and led the design and development of Intermedics’ next-generation implantable cardiac pacemaker. Dr. Prutchi holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering and Exact Sciences, and an MSc and PhD in Biomedical Engineering, all from Tel-Aviv University. He conducted post-doctoral research at Washington University, St. Louis, where he also served as a lecturer on a graduate course in neuroelectric systems. He has published over 30 academic papers and holds over 70 patents in the field of active implantable medical devices.
